The festival from its beginnings had a specific purpose, to embrace the local community and to convey the flame of its creators and to the educational community by establishing a new relationship between the documentary films and its audience. For these reasons we decided that the Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival (P.I.D.F)shouldn’t take place ONLY online.
The festival will be held in two phases
5 to 14 February 2021 online renewing like every year our winter appointment, showing only the international program.
18 June to 28 July 2021 with a physical presence will take place the integrated program throughout the network of cities embracing the festival
The Greek program will only be screened at the Summer festival since there is the Jury Prize for the best Greek documentary adopted by the Municipality of Sparta.
This year's festival program (both online&live) includes 58 international and 27 Greek documentaries.
The festival is enriched this year with workshops, seminars, round table discussions, teleconferences, exhibitions.
