Our collaborations between European festivals are enriched.
1.We are starting a 3-year cooperation agreement this year with the Zinebi International Festival in Bilbao, Spain.
Within the framework of this cooperation, a tribute will be held to the Basque Cinema, in the presence of the actors.
At the same time, the two festivals have invited Greek and Basque directors and producers to participate in the Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival in Kalamata, in order to seek co-production opportunities between the two countries.
2.A new collaboration begins with the Independent film center 'filmart' in Serbia, an artistic film education organization with the participation of major directors. The collaboration consists of an exchange of young filmmakers in order to participate in the seminars and workshops of each festival.
3.Finally, the collaboration continues with the FAITO DOC festival in Naples, which, in its next programme, will incorporate cinematographic works by young Greek filmmakers and present the documentary film "Transformations" as a world premiere at the P.I.D.F.
For 3rd year, the P.I.D.F. will cooperate with the School of Fine Arts and the Film School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In this context, 10 students from each school will attend the Festival by participating in a seminar to be given by Dutch director Robert Rombout, with the aim of producing 2 vertebrate documentaries.
For the 2nd year, the collaboration continues with the Department of Theatrical Studies of the University of Peloponnese in Nafplio where students will organize a round table teleconference with the directors of the films of the tribute "Claiming Freedom". They will also atribute the award for best documentary of the tribute
Finally for the 3rd year the festival will travel to the villages with the "summer mobile cinema" (July - August 2021)
