"Making a Documentary - Portraits" with Robert Rombout

The workshop will take place in Kalamata from 08-18 June 2021. There’ll be 8 students from the Fine arts department of the Peloponnese University in Nafplio. The students will work in groups of two and each group will have one main character for the film, but make two films. Two very different portraits of the same person.

So, each student presents one film. The theme connects with the theme of the festival “claiming freedom”. This concerns both the characters and filmmakers. The participants should feel free to experiment with unusual forms, twists and procedures. As we are in a documentary festival the perception (of the public) should be close to reality. Or – at least - play with the doubt. The produced video will be presented at the opening ceremony of the Festival, June 18.
