In February 2020, the crossing points that allow contact between the separated communities of Cyprus were closed for the first time, almost two decades after their opening. The reason given was the effective management of the covid-19 pandemic. The closure has shattered relationships and deeply affected people's lives, which have been built across the divide. These are their stories.
