Aitor Gametxo Zabala (Lekeitio, 1989) is a filmmaker currently based in Bilbao. His films, combining common narratives and formal experimentation between the boundaries of documentary and fiction, had been shown in international film festivals and film programes. He has been granted numerous artistic residencies and grants which enabled him to carry out his work, such as the grant for the production of film scripts by the Basque Government, the Punto de Vista X-Films project, the DSS2016-Wroclaw artistic residency and the Injuve Young Creation grant by the Spanish Government.
