Tekla Taidelli: Street Cinema Seminar

7th Peloponnisos International Doc Film Festival is looking for various assistants for the production of a short film that will take place 22 June-4 July in Kalamata for the seminar conducted by Italian director and Street Cinema School founder, Tekla Taideli.

 The positions are available for anyone interested in film production or actually playing in the film.

The Street Cinema School is a unique school founded in 2013 by Tekla Taideli, a neorealist director who works with actors she finds in the street!

Taideli has a mission: giving a voice back to the "invisible" people of the streets that they aren't usually in the spotlight. Using the texts of famous writers like Shakspear and Bukowski she creates multidimensional films. The seminar will take place during the 7th Peloponnisos International Doc Film Festival, inspired by the 200 year anniversary of the Greek Revolution, the participants will use Pasolini's poems and people that will be recruited on the street.

The Peloponnisos International Doc Film Festival signed a cooperation agreement with the Zinebi International Festival in Bilbao, Spain, a 62 year old festival.

Within the framework of this cooperation, actions have been agreed to promote documentaries concerning the two countries as well as to incentivize co-productions between directors. Thus, during the 7th PeloponnisosInternational Documentary Festival, which will take place live from 18 June to 28 July 2021, the following actions will take place:

1. a tribute to the Basque Cinema, in the presence of the directors.

2. call on Basque and Greek directors/producers to seek co-production opportunities between the two countries in order to create a 90-minute modular documentary on the theme of this year's tribute "Claiming Freedom"

The Collaboration and History of ZINEBI International Film Festival

In regard of the 3-year collaboration project that was established with the Peloponnisos IDFF has been is going to bring Basque cinema closer to the Greek audience in some of the most new and promising films. 3 films has been chosen by ZINEBI to be presented at the 7th Peloponnisos International Doc Film Festival program of up and coming female directors.

ZINEBI has a long history as a festival of 62 years and has played a great role in the international film industry.
