Storylab Film Laboratory is currently in full swing in Kalamata, where film students are being trained in the production of documentary shorts in just five days. Students are guided by Erik Knudsen, a British filmmaker, and professor, and Dr. Iakovos Panagopoulos, a lecturer at the Ionian University Department of Sound and Visual Arts. They are both official guests of the 8th Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival.
It is part of the parallel program of the Festival and is organized in collaboration with three universities: The Film Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Department of Sound and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, and the Department of Theatrical Studies of Pelopon University.
Workshop participants will apply the principles of ethnomedia to make their own film, utilizing the StoryLab International Film Development Research Network, supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
The workshop will produce a series of short documentaries that will be screened at a special event of the 8th Documentary Festival on Wednesday, April 13, at 20:15 in the amphitheater of the Municipal Cultural Center of Kalamata.
