Screenings every Monday at the Creative Documentary Center

Monday's screenings return to the Kalamata Creative Documentary Center from February 21 with documentaries, this time from the "Motherland, I See You" program, an initiative of the Hellenic Film Academy for the rescue, restoration and screening of 20th century Greek films. 

The Creative Documentary Center, in collaboration with the Hellenic Film Academy, secured from the program for the public of Kalamata 14 selected films in new digital copies, with English subtitles but also Greek for the deaf and hard of hearing, and with free admission * for the public.

From February 21 and every Monday until April 4, at 20:00, at the hangout of the Creative Documentary Center (Benaki 11), we will rediscover a country, as it illuminated, narrated and redefined the unique look of Greek filmmakers. The total duration of the screenings every Monday will be around 70-90 minutes.

"Motherland, I See You" is a program for the rescue, digitization, screening and study of films from the rich heritage of Greek Cinema of the 20th century, in the context of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, under the auspices of the Commission "Greece 2021 "and the main sponsor is the National Center for Audiovisual Media and Communication - EKOME. Also sponsors of the action are: the Hellenic Cinema Center, the Athens Epidaurus Film Festival and the Thessaloniki Film Festival, with the support of the Greek Film Archive and Finos Film.

* In order for the audience to enter the screenings, a valid vaccination certificate or disease certificate is required. The entrance is done with the use of a mask both during the arrival and during the screenings and according to the instructions of the state.
