The curtain falls on Sunday for the 7th Peloponnisos International Doc Film Festival in Sparta with the announcement of "Sparta Award"

This Sunday on the 25th of July the 7th Peloponnisos International Doc Film Festival has the last screening in Sparta, along with the announcement of the "Sparta Award" for Best Greek Documentary by Konstantinos Blathras, member of the judging committee.

The 7th installation of the festival started its journey on 18th of June in Kalamata and continued in 10 more cities all over Peloponnese (Sparta, Patras, Gytheion, Ksylokastro, Amaliada, Akrata, Dimitsana, Stymfalia, Levidi, Derveni), bringing the audience close to 58 international documentaries and 27 Greek productions.

Sparta has welcomed the largest part of the Greek Program from 16th of July with free daily screenings at the 2nd Primary School courtyard, co-organized by the Culture and Environment head of the Municipality of Sparta.

The curtain falls on Sunday 25th of July at 21:00 with the announcement of the award, given by the municipality of Sparta for Best Greek Documentary judged by Eleni Alexandrakis (director), Robbie Eksiel (journalist, film critic) and Konstantinos Blathras (journalist, film critic). The award includes the price of 2000 euros.

In the closing ceremony there will be present the Creative Director of the festival, Gina Petropoulou and Antonia Pternea, member of the organizing committee.

After the ceremony, the film "Music of Things" (90') by Menios Carayannis will be screened: Three people completely focused and dedicated to what they do. A musician, a carpenter, and a photographer invite us to their world and reveal the most sensitive aspects of their work. In the absence of words, images and sounds obtain a different meaning, while music becomes an offspring of togetherness. The film takes us on a journey with no destination, to a haven of details where the universe hives in.
